After ten Martian years of continuous atmospheric observations, the aim of this workshop is to gather the community of researchers interested in data assimilation for the atmosphere of Mars, specifically connecting those working on the modelling technique with those providing the data.

 

This workshop welcomes also those researches who work on the implementation of data assimilation for other extra-terrestrial atmospheres (e.g. for Venus), or have specific experience in Earth data assimilation but interest in extra-terrestrial applications.

 

It seeks to discuss together what lessons we have learned so far, what challenges remain, and what opportunities are ahead of us.
